Tim Chance is a genre blending, songwriting, performing, producing freak of nature. One listen to any of his recordings and you realize you are experiencing something truly unique and special. One live show experience and you are a fan for life, having heard a strong Country voice you will never forget. He was the first “Country-Hip Hop” style performer from Nashville and has been embraced from Music Row to the LA

streets. USA Today even said that He “Raps faster than Twista, but to dueling style banjos…”

 

Chance was born Timothy C. Smith in the mountains of Huntington, West Virginia, and moved to Nashville, Tennessee at the age of four.  T.C.’s mother Pauline Smith was known for organizing and hosting Country Music talent shows in numerous Nashville venues, as well as credited for the invention of the guitar pick earring. By age seven, Chance was singing on stage, competing, and winning at places like Barbra’s on World Famous Printers Alley and the Country Music Hall Of Fame Bar and Lounge right on Music Row. Pauline was close friends and helped with numerous successful artists such as Tim McGraw, Tanya Tucker, Confederate Railroad, John Michael Montgomery, and Toby Keith to name a few. Sadly, Pauline passed away when Chance was only 13 years old. Chance’s father Tim Smith is a world class guitar player and songwriter. Tim played with legends such as Gene Watson, Conway Twitty, Jerry Lee Lewis, George Jones, Loetta Lynn, Mickey Gilley, and many more.

Growing up around so much music made it natural for young Chance to write, sing, rap, and perform. Chance started producing in 1999 and has since become a well respected force within Nashville’s music mmunity. Being so influenced by his love of Hip Hop, combined with his Country roots, Chance is capable of creating music that no one else can. As a producer, Chance has helped numerous artists land major recording, publishing and touring deals, as he is responsible for discovering acts such as Trailer Choir and Dee Jay Silver. As a songwriter, Chance has contributed towards reaching over 1,5 Million in sales for songs he's written with others, greats like 3 Doors Down, Dobie Gray, Colt Ford & Trailer Choir. Currently Producing for Himself, and Wyclef Jean, and songwriting with Melissa Etheridge & Drake White, among others, Tim Chance is hustelin' his ass off.... Some songs have already landed on MTV, CMT, ESPN, ABC, NBC, NASCAR, Bank Of America & more, and Tim Chance is unsigned. He has been featured on every Nashville major News Network 2, 4, 5 & 17 FOX TN Mornings, CMT Outlaws, Muzik Mafia TV and in GQ Magazine and other international Radio & Broadcast Media.

Over the years, Chance has literally played every venue in Nashville including the Municipal Auditorium and Bridgestone Arena. He has participated with the Muzik Mafia on two Chevy Revolution Tours, and has continuously worked or recorded with artists previously mentioned, in addition to KRS One, James Otto, Mike P. of Psychopathic, Big Smo, Digital Underground, Tanya Tucker, 38 Special, and many more.This kind of buzz and a ridiculously good stage presence landed Chance an LA Music Award (Cross Over Artist Of The Year for combining Country and Hip Hop) and his first record deal with Warner Brothers /RAYBAW in 2005. Due to the label shutting down, Chance left RAYBAW in 2006. But shortly after in 2007, Chance opened Motivation Plus Publishing with his father Tim and since has found success independently as a performer, songwriter, producer, and DJ.

Chance has since been the entertainer at countless showcases, events, parties, and live tours. Also appearing on Bob Wills’ “100 Years of Bob Wills,” and recognized as an “Honorary Playboy” alongside his Godmother Tanya Tucker, Dierks Bentley, Charlie Daniels, Merle Haggard, and the late legend himself, George Jone, Chance has such incredible experience in a young, pioneering way, that he blazes a trail all his own. Alongside his band, “The Timothy Chance Band”, Chance released his first single “Pauline”. The song was mixed by One Direction’s producer Julian Bunetta, mastered by Rodney Mills, and shows off a classic Spanish guitar, a pure Country fiddle, percussion drums laced with 808s, a strong female vocal, and a powerful story delivered in a way that only Chance is capable of. The music video for “Pauline” was completed under his production company, Welcome to Nashville, in addition to being edited by videographer Matt Cullom, with additional camera work by Chance, Tim White, Curt B. (CMT), and Vince Pileggi (Reel Big Fish). The song and video delivers quite deeply on so many levels.

In 2010 Chance completed and released his first full length album titled “Troublemaker” and signed a management deal with Hollyville Nashville. For the next year, much time was dedicated to various record labels (Warner Brothers, Curb/Aria/Ruffhouse Records), talent companies (Remmington Talent, EmbassyEnt. Average Joe’s Ent. Affiliates Music Group, Blingnot), and performing live in preparation of his second full length album titled “Loose Cannon” which was unveiled in 2011. After winning The Real 8 Mile, Eminem’s “Shady Records Battle of the Illest” in Detroit, Chance spent the next several years between Nashville and LA working with numerous hit producers including Joe Warlick, Rockwilder, Dave Aron, and many others. Chance officially signed with Kevon Glickman, Esq. in 2013 within Blingnot Media and Ruffhouse Records. In September of 2017, Chance released his self-titled solo album. Produced by Dave Aron, these tracks feature legendary creators such as The Dancehall Doctors, Dobie Gray, Jody Stevens, George Tutko, Bud Reneau, and Jason Nevins.

After listening to this album from start to finish, it is evident as to why FOX Nashville, Tennessee Mornings referred to Chance as “the King of melding Country andHip Hop”. On top of live tours with Kid Rock, Gretchen Wilson, and Hank Williams Jr, Chance has performed more recent sold out shows with Westside Connection, Bone Thugs n Harmony, The Dogg Pound, and Upchurch the Redneck. Chance is currently in the midst of finishing up the music videos for “Twisted” and "Better Than This”, both of which should be finished by the end of Summer 2018. His new single “StepYour Game Up” featuring Truf Rafijah Siano is currently in the works, along with new projects involving BobMarley’s ‘Wailers’, Rasta Country, Cage the Elephant, and Dave Aron.As of right now, Chance is continuously furthering music video production, promotions and touring for the“Tim Chance” album.
